The Crucial Role of Technology in Early Disease Detection
Retinal scans and other important eye care technology allow us to learn so much about your vision and overall health.
A retinal scan when your vision is healthy gives us a clear baseline so we can better detect changes in your eyes over time. If you do have an eye condition that requires management, retinal imaging allows us to understand how you’re responding to treatment so we can give you the right care.
Our Diagnostic Technology
Our technology allows our team to get the complete picture regarding your eye health. We use a variety of diagnostic tools and imaging systems to check for early signs of eye disease, measure your eyes for contact lenses, and identify other potential issues.
If you have any questions about our technology, our team is always happy to answer.
Retinal Imaging
Retinal imaging is a non-invasive tool to take high-resolution images of the back of the eye (the retina).
In just a few minutes, we can take a 2D photo of your retina, as well as do an optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan. An OCT helps us see each layer of the retina, aiding in early detection and monitoring of diseases like macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma.

Visual Field Testing
Visual field testing enables us to evaluate your peripheral vision, which is critical for us to detect various conditions.
Visual field technology is important for identifying vision problems that may be indications of eye disease such as glaucoma, or brain-related conditions like stroke.
Corneal Topography
Our corneal topography system can generate a map of the surface of your cornea, which is essential for the accurate fitting of specialty contact lenses such as sclerals.
Corneal topography is particularly useful for detecting corneal disorders–like keratoconus–that are hard to diagnose using other testing methods.
